Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Take a few breaths to settle.
Bring awareness to your breathing. Notice how each breath is unique—arising, existing briefly, and passing away. No two breaths are identical.
Consider that everything in existence shares this quality: arising, existing, passing. Nothing stays the same from moment to moment.
Think of your own life. You were once a child—that child has passed. The person you were last year is gone. Even who you were this morning is no longer here.
Contemplate the people you love. They too are changing moment by moment, moving toward their eventual end. This isn't morbid—it's the truth that makes presence precious.
Look at something you possess. One day it will be gone—broken, lost, discarded. Knowing this, can you appreciate it more fully now?
Nothing in life can be grasped permanently. This may seem sad, but it's actually freeing. When you truly accept impermanence, you stop fighting reality and start living fully.
Let this understanding bring peace rather than anxiety. Each moment is complete in itself. This moment, just as it is, is enough.
