Grounding Practice

Connect with the earth and your body to feel stable and present

Instructions

This practice can be done seated or standing. If standing, keep feet hip-width apart.

Close your eyes and take a few centering breaths.

Bring your attention to your feet. Feel them making contact with the floor or ground. Notice the pressure, the temperature, the texture.

Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet, extending deep into the earth. These roots anchor you firmly to the ground.

With each exhale, feel yourself becoming heavier, more settled. Let the earth support your weight completely.

Now expand your awareness to include your entire body. Feel its solidity, its presence in space.

Notice the pull of gravity. It's not pulling you down—it's connecting you to the earth, holding you secure.

If anxious energy is present, imagine it draining down through your roots into the earth, where it can be absorbed and transformed.

Stay connected to this grounded feeling. You are here. You are present. You are supported.
